Part 1

This powerful message confronts us with a question we often avoid: Why are we here? Drawing from Matthew 5:13-16, Romans 8:29, and 1 John 3:8, we're challenged to understand that discovering our purpose isn't primarily about identifying our gifts, but about discovering Jesus himself. The teaching reveals a profound truth: we've been called to be conformed to the image of Christ, to become salt and light in a world that desperately needs both. What's striking is the reminder that Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, and if we're truly walking in purpose, our lives should actively participate in that destruction. We're confronted with the reality that many of us have been saved from hell but not saved for purpose. We know where we're going after we die, but we haven't stepped into what we're called to do while we're alive. The message exposes how we often seek to discover our giftedness while neglecting the transformation of our character, forgetting that spiritual gifts without spiritual maturity can lead us astray. We're reminded that purpose often requires us to leave what's familiar, to sacrifice comfort, and to step into uncomfortable seasons where God shapes us. Like Abraham, Moses, and Jonah, we may resist, run, or try to manufacture our own version of God's promise, yet His grace pursues us even in our rebellion. The call is clear: stop hiding your light under a basket, stop waiting for perfect circumstances, and start yielding to the Holy Spirit who leads us into all truth.
